Privacy policy
This policy explains what information ChairService collects when you use www.chairservices.com, how we use it and who can see it.
Information we collect
- When you unlock a vendor: the name, email address and WhatsApp number you enter, the product you were viewing, the amount paid and the payment reference from Razorpay.
- If you create an account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash) and, if you add it, your phone number.
- If you apply as a vendor: your business name, contact person, business email, mobile number, business address, tax and registration numbers (if provided), business description and website.
- If you use the contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Technical data: IP address and browser information, used for security, fraud prevention and to limit abuse.
How we use information
To reveal the vendor details and prices you paid for and email you a copy of the vendor’s number, to run accounts and vendor applications, to reply to messages, to prevent fraud and abuse, to meet legal obligations, and to understand and improve how the site is used.
Who can see your information
- Vendors: a vendor’s business name and mobile number are shown to buyers who pay to unlock that vendor. The details buyers enter when unlocking (name, email, WhatsApp number) are not shared with vendors.
- ChairService staff: our team can see unlock requests, accounts, vendor applications and contact messages to run the marketplace and provide support.
- Service providers who process data for us: Razorpay (payments), Vercel (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), our email provider, and Google (Analytics and AdSense, see Cookies below).
- Authorities, where we are required to by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details; we keep only the payment reference and whether the payment succeeded.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember, on your device, which vendors you have unlocked (for up to one year) so you don’t pay twice.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed.
- Google AdSense uses cookies to show and measure ads, which may be personalised. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google account’s ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Retention and your rights
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including payment, tax and legal record-keeping. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information through our contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The current version is always published on this page.
